If you decide to make it yourself, be careful of the changing stitch count. I used a long-tail cast-on for flexibility and then did a sewn bind-off for flexibility, and also it looks similar to the cast-on.

The really odd thing about it is I remember in school being fine with public speaking! Now? While I'm not in the "catatonic" category--I'll go to just about any extreme to avoid standing up in front of a crowd of people.

I think all the sisters have a problem with public speaking. My lack of public speaking finesse shows up on my performance reviews consistently. Conference calls where I'm asked a direct question, you can hear the quiver in my voice. I second guess myself even when I know the answer. What is this? Am I just that sensitive? And I too, have issues with conflict. I have a hard time deciding what I want and if I really care about something (which ends up pissing Jeffrey off all the time). What scary is I'm not really passionate about anything. I'm always afraid that if I am, someone is going to try to take it away from me.

I'll also say I don't care about little things, because I don't want to make a decision. I hate myself when I get like this, but I'm learning to deal with it too. No amount of therapy is going to help (it usually doesn't), and it is just better for me to move and try to forget. I like knitting, traveling, and planned adventures because it makes me feel like I am capable and good at something.

OMG! What a memory... I totally forgot about all the blue laundry we did when we were younger. Dad still wears postal blue, but Yommie (Susan, stands for Your Other Mommy) makes him put on a different colored shirt when he comes home from work:) Love her! Blue, teal, lime green are great colors for my skin tone. And yes, your *other* sister is requesting, or she can just make one herself:)

Rora,

Nice to see the link to the sock patterns so I have a better understanding of where the leaves fit in. Can't wait to see the finished socks!

Hey there,

Thanks so much for the great information! I looked in my knitting books, and it either wasn't there, or didn't make sense. I am working on the Habitat hat pattern, which is chalk full of cables, and couldn't continue because I had no idea what no stitch meant. I thought you just slipped it, glad I looked! I would have royally messed up my hat!

Thanks again!

Excellent writing! I loved it. This is so like our mother. It was almost like I was there. Wait a minute; I was:) As far as the salt lamp goes, Dani and I had a little lick ourselves before we mailed it back to the states. I don't why we were also surprised that it tasted like salt. Of course we licked it in "secret" then told each other about it in a quiet moment.
